Byron Williams

Byron is the Centre's widely known specialist in regulatory law and has conducted a highly successful series of rate cases in auto insurance, hydro-electricity and telecommunications services. He also works on Aboriginal law matters and on Charter test case litigation in social services and related fields - welfare, unemployment insurance, and housing. Mr. Williams articled at the Centre and was called to the bar in 1993. He acts as a chairperson for hearings conducted by the Workers Compensation Board Appeal Commission.

Myfanwy Bowman

Myfanwy graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1998, and was called to the Bar in 1999. She practiced at Tapper Cuddy for several years, in the areas of child protection, civil litigation and family law. She joined the Public Interest Law Centre in 2005. She now practises administrative law and civil litigation, focusing primarily on human rights, civil liberties, and consumer issues. She sits the Law Society of Manitoba's Admissions and Education Committee and is the chair of the Manitoba Bar Association's Lawyers Professional Assistance Committee.

Beverly Froese

Beverly Froese articled at the Centre and was called to the Bar in 2002. She practices primarily in administrative and civil law, with a focus on constitutional, human rights, consumer rights and poverty law. She recently obtained her Master's degree with a focus on U.S. Constitutional and international law. Beverly was a former member of the Board of the Manitoba Association of Rights and Liberties and is currently on the Board of the Community Unemployed Help Centre.

Aimée Craft

Aimée articled at the Centre and was called to the Bar in June 2005. She completed her law degree in French at the University of Ottawa with a focus on international and aboriginal law. Her areas of legal research and interest lie primarily in aboriginal issues, constitutional law, international human rights law, language rights and women's issues. Aimée teaches at the University of Winnipeg and sits on various boards within the franco-manitoban and legal communities. She is a member of the the Indigenous Bar Association, the CBA National Aboriginal Law Section Executive, and Chair of the Manitoba Bar Association Aboriginal Law Section.
